With the annual ‘new-year resolution’ mode, I read 6 books in January!
The following month? Zero.
March had to be different. So I shifted from how much of an incredible feat I could do at once to establishing a pattern of consistent efforts.
I extended my midday gym to 2 hours, with the second hour devoted to reading in the yoga room. I am now trying to explore breaking up my flow of meetings and task blocks on my calendar with short reading breaks. Apart from intellectual stimulation, there is also the effect of 'rest' from tasks.
There are so many amazing books out there, and my entire lifetime would not be enough to read them all. So I am trying to see how much I can get to read, and use.
How are you reading more? Care to share.
(Btw, I had more to say on this but I needed to keep this letter short. So here is a Medium article I wrote for you if you want some more).
